Post – Grape-Nuts Trail Mix Crunch Cereal 19.2 oz (4.99)

This is a newish Cranberry Vanilla Grape-Nuts heart-healthy cereal that is packed with protein and contains granola, cranberries, puffed barley and a touch of natural vanilla flavor. Non GMO and high in iron and folic acid, and of course full of fiber and whole grains. Tastes really great on top of yogurt!

Explore Cuisine – Organic Chickpea Fusilli 8 oz ($4.79)

This chickpea pasta is full of plant-based protein and nearly 20% of your daily dietary fiber requirement per serving. It has a mild taste and soft texture. Made with only 4 ingredients – organic chickpea flour, organic brown rice flour, organic tapioca starch, and organic pea protein flour.

Rufus Teague – Smoky Apple BBQ Sauce 16 oz ($4.99)

Rufus Teague makes some incredible barbecue sauces and this is a new one for them.

Goya – Medium Salsa Verde Tangy Green Salsa 17.6 oz ($2.29)

Salsa has become a staple in our kitchens over the past 20 years or so – kind of amazing because I had never heard of it while I was growing up. This tangy green salsa is medium-hot and made of tomatillo, jalapeño chiles, onion and cilantro.  It tastes great on tacos, quesadillas, enchiladas, fajitas, tamales, pastas, stews, eggs and lots more!

Karma – Wellness Water Probiotics 18 oz ($2.29)

This is water to help keep your digestive health in optimal condition. The flavor I received is Blueberry Lemonade, but it comes in other flavors like Apple Cinnamon, Berry Cherry, and Kiwi Melon. The flavoring and probiotic vitamins are all in the cap, so when you mix them with the water by pushing on the cap. you have a fresh taste and fresh, potent vitamins.

Popcorn Indiana – Kettlecorn (2) bags 1 oz each ($2.52)

This popcorn is just to-die-for! Sweet and salty but free from trans fats, gluten, preservatives artificial colors or GMOs. 

Cello – Whisps Cheddar Cheese Crisps 2.12 oz ($3.99)

The May information sheet said that these crisps are back by popular demand – and they weren’t kidding! As soon as I opened the May Degustabox, my husband announced that he had “dibs” on the Whisps! These are airy, crispy snacks made from baked 100% sharp cheddar cheese. They taste like cheese, not like chips! They are a high protein alternative to other chips and are great right out of the bag or added to salads, soups, chili, or whatever. And apparently my husband LOVES them!

Deep River Snacks – Sweet Maui Onion Kettle Cooked Potato Chips 1.375 oz ($1.29)

These oniony, garlicky thick cut potato chips are just delicious! Cooked in sunflower oil, they contain no artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives and are non-GMO verified.

Goya – Maria Cookies 7 oz ($.89)

These are buttery biscuit cookies from Spain that pair well with a toasty drink, like coffee or tea, or for a tasty breakfast or afternoon treat.

Zaffy Taffi – 4 taffy samples + Coupon for 1 Free Bag ($3.99)

Zaffy Taffi is a “Clean Teeth Candy” developed by a 12 year old girl . They neutralize the acid in your mouth after eating to reduce the risk of tooth decay. The company also makes Zollipops, another candy to keep your smile healthy.

The retail value of the grocery products in the May 2018 Degustabox came to $32.03. We loved all the products, especially the snack chips and popcorn. Plus I have big plans for that Smoky Apple BBQ sauce! This was another great surprise food box from Degustabox with an excellent value for the cost of the box!
