The Stay Regular Monthly Mystery Box is a fun gender-neutral subscription box from That Daily Deal. Each box is filled with a variety of random practical and silly items at an extreme value. Boxes vary greatly month to month.

This is a playful box (that is not meant to be taken too seriously) with a high retail value and a low price of only $24.99 per month or $34.98 per month for the upgraded box containing extra items.

SPACE Fighter II Walking Talking & Shooting Robot | $24.95

This robot is a pretty big toy, measuring 12.5″ x 8.5″ x 5.5″! It can walk and slide forward and backward, turn right and left, as well as dance, shoot frisbees, move move its arms to “shoot”. You can operate it using the buttons on its chest as well as the provided remote control. The only downside I can see is that it takes (4) AA batteries for the robot itself and another (2) AA batteries for the remote control. If we can ever manage to round up six spare batteries in the house, I promised Gabe that we’d give it a try!

2020 Daily Planner (unbranded) | $5?

Though 2020 is already flying by (what happened??), I am actually quite grateful to receive this daily planner in the box. I never got around to buying a planner this year, so this is perfect for keeping track of everyone’s schedules – especially now that baseball season is upon us! The layout is fairly standard, typically one page per work week (M-F) and half pages for the weekend. There were only a couple weird layouts with half pages falling on (Tu-W) etc. The paper is very thin, so I will be using a ballpoint pen only.

12 LED Headlight with Adjustable Headstrap | $5.99

We’ve received a few different types of headlamps in previous boxes, but they’re all very useful to keep around the house and in our vehicles. If the need arises, I’d much rather use a headlamp instead of holding my phone’s flash up with one hand while changing a flat tire in the dark! I think I’ll gift this to my father-in-law to use when he’s feeding his chickens and goats early in the morning. He wakes up way too early ~4am! This one is extremely bright, but has different modes so you don’t need to have all 12 bulbs on if you don’t want. It requires (3) AAA batteries to work.

Buckle Down Bi-Fold Wallet Nick 90’s Rewind | $15.95

This is a really cool vegan leather bi-fold wallet that brings me back to the early days! I grew up watching Rugrats, Hey Arnold! and Rocko’s Modern Life. 🙂 (Ren & Stimpy was too vulgar for my taste…) I am familiar with some of the other cartoons, though they were created when I was older. This is a really fun throw-back wallet that would be perfect for anyone in my generation – or for our kids! The wallet measures 4.0×3.5×0.5 Inches, and features the standard billfold, 5 card slots, and windowed ID holder.

The January 2020 Monthly Mystery Box of Awesome included some really great items! My favorite item is the Nickelodeon wallet, though I’m sure Gabe is going to love playing with the Space Fighter robot! As always, the value far exceeded the cost of the box and I’m glad to have both practical and playful items included this go-round. 🙂
