Tinselbox – Mother’s Day 2016

This year, Mother’s Day was ridiculously busy but so much fun! I had back-to-back concerts with my orchestra over the weekend and was blessed enough to have Jonathan and Little G attend the Mother’s Day performance. After a long day with the orchestra, I really needed a little pampering to finish out mom’s day the right way! Luckily I had this month’s Tinselbox to spoil me rotten!

This month’s info booklet displays a beautiful floral watercolor and displays the month’s theme of “Pamper Yourself”  Yes, please!

The first page lists and describes the contents in the box. The second page talks about the featured artists for the month!

The back of the booklet shows a great craft idea pulled from the ever-fabulous Tinselblog. You can go to the blog HERE and download a free printable for these cute affirmation cards.

First peek in the box! When my box first arrived, I opened the mailbox and was instantly awarded with lovely floral scents. Taking a peek inside, I knew why!

This was the first item to greet me out of the box! Isn’t this so sweet?? It’s a flat card that has gold writing on a beautiful pastel background. I could totally frame this or save it for next year to gift to my mom! (I hope she’s not reading this right now…)

Katie’s Candies | Milk & Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramels

Yum!!! My caramels got a little banged up making their way across the country, but they were DELICIOUS. I love a good salted chocolate and these have the richest, most butteriest caramel I have tasted. These were the perfect post-concert treat for me! Of course I shared… one.

The Glitterpress Shop | “I Got It From My Mama” Card

This is such a sweet card! It has real gold foiling that is done by hand on 100lb smooth cover stock. The inside is blank for you to personalize with your own sentiments too.

The card comes in a blush pink envelope that also contains a little heart confetti! Aww!

Dandelion Flower Shop | Dried Lavender Sprig

This is such a sweet inclusion in the box! It smells divine (even Jonathan said so!) and looked beautiful on my kitchen sill; that is, until the cats decided to play with it. Either way, it was gorgeous and made my kitchen smell pretty!

Kalastyle | Gal Violet Lip Balm

This is the prettiest tin of lip balm I have ever owned. I love the art deco design and was really interested to see how it smelled / tasted!

It smells heavenly, tasted like it smelled, and for what ever reason reminds me of my childhood. It made my lips feel smooth, without being greasy, and the scent lasted for a good while!

Clamue | Dewy Moisture For Your Face Mask

Oh goodie! I love trying new face masks, thanks to subscription boxes. This is one of those products I couldn’t justify buying for myself but always want to try!

This Korean beauty mask contains sodium hyaluronate and goat milk extract and is designed to deeply hydrate, replenish, and protect your skin’s own moisture. It is designed to contour perfectly to your face shape for maximum absorption. I ran out of time last night and was not able to test this out just yet. I cannot wait! This is going to feel sooooo good.

Juniper Tree | Lilac Artisan Soap

This soap smells amazing! It arrived in a little wax sleeve.

Oh my goodness! The soap has real flowers pressed into it! This is a gorgeous bar of glycerin soap that smells just amazing. There is even glitter at the top where the lilac flower pops out. I will be gifting this to my mom when she returns from Florida. I know she will put it to great use and will love the bright colors!

Juniper Tree | Lavender Sea Salt Bath Scrub 1.5 oz

I was able to try this lavender bath scrub last night and LOVED the way my skin felt afterward! The lavender made the whole bathroom smell delightful and I really did feel pampered after my long bath.

The container was sealed with a strip of scotch tape to help prevent any leakage, but I will say that my container of scrub did leak in the box. The majority of the contents stayed put and did not affect the box contents too much, so all is well in my world!

Tinselbox – Mother’s Day 2016

I really loved this box for all of it’s feminine charm. There were a TON of floral pieces in here which made the box smell like heaven. I am most excited about the lip balm because I can’t help myself and have a chapstick addiction like whoa. The chocolates have to come in close second though. Everything was super indulgent and fit perfectly within the theme to “Pamper Yourself.” I absolutely love being a mama and am so glad I received a box that reminded me to stop and take care of myself too. (For one day, at least.)
