“Fall Box”

Aaah, fall! The season where blankets, scarves, and cute boots make their debut. Our little family recently went to our favorite local apple orchard to pick apples, sip hot cider and feed the animals on the farm. I just adore this season (minus the zillions of acorns falling from our huge oak tree) and equally adore my monthly Revel Box! I knew the September Fall Box was going to be fantastic and nearly tripped over all the acorns on the driveway as I ran toward the familiar polkadot package waiting for me on the porch!

As always, Revel Box comes carefully packaged in brown paper tied up with string! This month’s package came with the September theme sticker on the bottom right corner…. why hello, fall!! 🙂

My Revel Box must have gone through a growth spurt since August! The box is significantly larger this month and has the cutest print on top!

First peek!

The September Revel Box includes five handmade items that are all purchased from small businesses and independent artisans. There is always one item that is created by Revel Box and is personalized for the subscriber.  🙂

Copper & Kraft 2 oz. Soy Candles (2 qty) | $5.00 ea.

Caramel Apple Cider – “The scent of gooey caramel wraps around the sweetness of ripe Macintosh apples and a wealth of spices for a deliciously layered fragrance.”

Falling Leaves – “The scent of crisp leaves crunching under your feet while you are walking through the woods on a misty autumn afternoon.”

Subscribers received two of three different scents from Copper & Kraft. Both soy candles arrived in mini metal tins with cute brown rustic-looking labels. Each candle has a burn time of appx. 12-15 hours and is made using natural soy wax, a lead-free cotton wick, and phthalate-free fragrance oil. They burn clean and the fragrance lingers as the wax cools. We love candles and were really happy to have fall fragrances to burn!

The Scarf Chic Plaid Tartan Blanket Scarf | $19.95

 I was so excited to see a scarf in the fall box! This one measures appx. 56″ x 56″ and is extremely warm! It looks great (and feels great) worn over a long-sleeve fitted tee. The colors and plaid pattern are amazing — absolutely perfect for fall!

HH & Co. Bones Fabric Button Earrings | $6.00

My son is obsessed with “skele-bones!” and instantly asked [demanded] me to wear these earrings! These will be perfect to wear for Halloweenfest in Brevard, NC this year. Little G is dressing up like CatBoy from PJ Masks (thanks, YouTube) and Jonathan is going to dress up like a zombie. Since I dressed up like a cat last year, I guess I’ll have to be more creative this year… I digress…

The button earrings measure 5/8″ in diameter and are handmade with cotton fabric, stainless steel posts, and rubber backings. I love that the earrings are intentionally mismatched too (one skeleton with his hand raised, the other with arms by his side). These are larger studs than I usually wear, but I’m totally okay with it because they are really fun!

Revel Box Customized Recipe Cards (Set of 5) | $6.00?

Revel Box always includes at least one item that is customized with the purchaser’s name. This month’s special gift is a set of five recipe cards! These are so useful and could not have come at a better time. I need to write down the recipe for my pumpkin pie tarts to give to a couple of my friends. It is finally pie pumpkin season at the farm where I work and the tarts are an absolute must have for the fall!

I really love the cute artwork in the bottom right corner of the cards! I’m looking forward to using these cards to write down some of my favorite recipes. My poor Kitchen Aid mixer remains dormant during the summer months, but I’m back in the game now that the weather has shifted. I’m looking forward to hearty soups, scratch-made cookies, and hot cider!

Final Thoughts

Revel Box is seriously one of my absolute favorite boxes ever. The September Fall box encapsulated the season perfectly while sticking to the handmade, small business element that makes Revel Box so unique and fun. My favorite item is the chunky plaid scarf. I love dressing up my plain shirts and jeans with minimal effort. All of the items I received are fantastic and I estimated an approximate total value of about $42.00. This is an amazing value considering all of the items are sourced from several independent Etsy businesses and are then combined to create this gorgeous gift box delivered straight to your door.

I felt Revel Box really delivered for fall and I am beyond excited to get into the leaf season here in the mountains!
