Our sweet dog, Beijing (aka “Beeba”), was so thrilled to receive this box! Though I am a die-hard cat lady, Beeba is considered one of my kiddos in our house. Pet Treater was launched in August 2015 and I was genuinely impressed when I watched their welcome video and heard what they were all about. I love the fact that you can sign up for multiple subscriptions on one account and especially love that all treats are made in either the USA or Canada (whew!).

I am used to receiving standard brown cardboard boxes with my subscriptions, so when our box came, I was excited to see the vibrant colors! First thing I noticed right out of the box was the letter addressed to Beijing! Here is that personal touch I adore in a box:

Medium-Size Dog Bed – Estimated Value:  $25.00?
Our FREE pet bed was a real winner in our household. It was the *perfect* size for Beeba… and all of our cats. The bed was manufactured by American Plush Textile Mills, located in Lumberton, NC. The fact that this was a bonus item blew my mind since dog beds are not cheap! The cover is very soft and there is enough dense padding to withstand constant use. Thumbs up!

goDog Mopz with Chew Guard Technology (Large Yellow Bird) – Value:  $14.59
Beeba is very rough with her plush toys, but I can’t resist picking one up (on sale) to give her a special treat to enjoy for those precious 5 minutes.  There is not a plush in the world that can survive her, however this brave yellow bird lasted for two whole days before the crinkle bag, squeaker, and stuffing came out one by one. She had a lot of fun and I am so glad we received such a tough toy! (I have spared you the gruesome image of what this toy looks like today.)

Pet Head Dirty Paws Footbath – Value:  $8.99
This is SO cool. We have not had an opportunity to use it yet, but I really love the concept. My strategy will be to go on the porch to greet Beeba with the footbath before she comes barreling in through the front door with her muddy paws. I love the compact size and the portability factor. This could easily be carried in a tote or in the car for a quick dip and dry!

Nylabone Happy Time Long-Lasting Chicken Dog Treat (Large) – Estimated Value:  $7.00?
This is an extremely large chew and is only fitting for a very special occasion (and close supervision to make sure she doesn’t horf it down too quickly). This product is made in the USA, has a “best by” date of 06/15/16, but doesn’t seem to be available for sale currently. I searched for product reviews to make sure it wasn’t recalled for any reason and am happy to report that all checks out! We shall see when Beeba deserves this huge reward.

Hedgehog Desk Tidy Prickly Pen Holder – Value:  $9.99
What a fun surprise! Jonathan and I both have our own desk areas at work and we flipped a coin as to who would get to use this cutie. (I won.) I was skeptical as to this flat little guy’s ability to actually keep pens in place…

Full Moon Chicken Bacon 12.5 oz – Value:  $11.98
More doggie snacks! Yay! Also made in the USA, “best by” date of 04/10/16, and it’s a large bag! This is the perfect treat for Beeba when she “goes crate” for the night. She loves them, I’m happy.

Nylabone Romp’n Chomp Roller Bone Treat Toy – Value:  $7.65
This was a huge hit once yellow bird was… put away. Beeba wasn’t sure what to do at first, but once she discovered the chicken-flavored treat there was no stopping that lady. The edible treat’s “best by” date was 07/29/16, also made in the USA. This toy is advertised for moderate chewers, which is definitely not our pup, so the treat lasted all of 30 minutes and then was gone. The orange toy is very durable and heavy and we were able to play fetch a few times before she caught on that I did not have any more treats.

Swiss+Tech Dog Leash Light – Value:  $15.70
I was not expecting this item when I placed my order! This was a “Flash Sale” item, displayed at the bottom of Pet Treater’s Home Page. Once there, you have the option to purchase the flash sale item for a discounted rate directly on the site OR add a subscription to your order and the item automatically gets shipped with your box for free! We love this light so much. The LEDs are very bright, which is good since the time change has us walking Beeba in the dark at 6PM. It seems very sturdy, though I haven’t dropped the leash since attaching the light.

Pet Treater Total Value:  $100.90!!!

Not only is the value out-of-this-world good, but Beijing loved everything I put in front of her. The products are safe, the quality is there, the personalized note was a great touch, and best of all, I CAN TOTALLY AFFORD THIS SUBSCRIPTION BOX FOR BEEBA!

  6. Where to begin with the likes on this! Definitely the treats anything that is human grade is a plus in my book. The paw cleaner will be put to good use. If my dogs paws aren’t cleaned properly she is prone to infection. They babies need a new place to sleep at night, we’ll see if they fight over it. And that hedgehog, can you say CUTE!!

  27. I would say the treats first, my dogs love them so much! Then I’m always interested in toys, specifically to see if they are indestructable. My dogs can destroy anything.

  38. In general I like new toys for my dogs, especially ones that make them think. They’re smart pups, so they need new mental stimulation on a regular basis.
