My Texas Market is a monthly subscription box that sends you 4-6 carefully selected products from Texas farmers’ markets and local businesses. The small-batch artisan items fit a monthly theme and could be anything from foods, snacks, teas, candles, beauty products, crafts or any other thing you might find in a Texas farmers’ market.

Their purpose is to expose customers to new products and companies while supporting local artisan businesses. 10% of all profits are donated to the Houston Food Bank.

Subscription costs are:

1 month – $35

3 months – $100

6 months – $195

Subscription prices do not include shipping or any applicable taxes. They do promise that the value of each box will be at least $35 -$40 but to not expect that they will send a hugely underpriced box of items. You can cancel at any time or just skip a month if you wish. And if you want to purchase more of something or add to your box, they have an online market with lots of things to choose from.

My Texas Market always sends a great product information card. They give helpful information on each product and you can learn all about the local Texas companies that produce each one.

Desert Creek Honey – Raw Texas Honey 1 lb ($6.69)

Raw, unfiltered, unpasteurized, and all natural wildflower honey, responsibly harvested from healthy bees that are cared for using the most natural & wholesome methods available. This company does all their own beekeeping and packaging.

Moore Honey – Pure Beeswax Bars 2oz ($2)

Two 1 oz bars of 100% pure, unaltered beeswax for whatever you use it for. This beeswax is cosmetic grade with just the dirt and debris filtered out, so it can be made into lip balms, soaps, or candles. In my house we use beeswax to keep our wooden furniture working smoothly – my hubby was thrilled to see these two little gems in the box!

Mind Your Own Beeswax Candle Company – Citrus Sunshine Aromatherapy Beeswax Candle 4 oz ($13)

This hand-crafted, small batch made candle smells delightful and is made with 100% beeswax with added orange, lemon & grapefruit essential oils. It has a soot-free burn time of 35 hours and while it is burning it will cleanse the air of airborne allergens.

Gretchen Bee Ranch – Sweet Orange Lip Balm 4 oz ($5)

Hand-crafted lip balm made from beeswax, coconut oil, shea butter, and sweet orange essential oil  makes your lips feel soft and smells so good that you want to eat it! This company not only produces honey from its bees, it makes body care products and gives classes on beekeeping.

SRSLY Chocolate + Two Hives Honey – Chocolate Honey Buttons ?($10)

These Honey Buttons are a collaboration between SRSLY Chocolate and Two Hives Honey – honey surrounded by a honey ganache and surrounded with stone ground 70% chocolate. They were created exclusively for Austin’s 1st Honey Festival. And they are To Die For delicious!!

The retail value of the products in the March 2017 My Texas Market box came to roughly $37. It was curated perfectly to fit the theme and all of the items were of high quality from Texas businesses who are passionate about their beekeeping. One of my favorite My Texas Market boxes!!
