The June 2016 Birchbox includes a helpful product information card that tells you about each of the samples and gives a (full size) price for each product. This is such a nice touch because many of the items and/or brands that are sent in beauty boxes are new to me.

First take a look at this cute little box! Birchbox has been creating pretty designs for their boxes every month and this one is no exception. Their June theme is “everyday kind of magic,” and the beauty sample products are curated to help you transform your routine and enhance your beauty!

Air Repair – Complexion-Boosting Moisturizer .24 oz sample size (Full size – 2 oz – $21)

This moisturizer is designed to feed your dull, tired and dehydrated skin. It has humectants and antioxidants to combat ageing and improve skin tone. I liked the soft scent and it absorbed quickly, making my skin feel smooth and not greasy.

Benefit Cosmetics – Gimme Brow Volumizing Fiber Gel – sample size 0.03 oz (Full size – .1 oz – $24)

This was a really new product for me and I have to say that I am sold! It is a water-resistant tinted fiber gel that builds your brows. Sort of like mascara for your brows, only it doesn’t make them stiff, complete with a tiny application brush for shaping. The gel comes in 3 colors, light (1), medium (3) and dark (5).

Coola – Mineral Face SPF 30 Unscented Matte Tint sample size .17 oz (Full size – 1.7 oz – $36)

This is a lightly tinted,unscented matte finish SPF 30 sunscreen that gives broad spectrum sun plus environmental protection. It is made with organic rose hip oil containing free radical-fighting vitamin C, plus organic evening primrose with omega 3 to improve elasticity PLUS organic shea butter to smooth and hydrate skin. Best for normal to oily skin.

Living Proof – Perfect Hair Day Night Cap Overnight Perfector sample size 1 oz (Full size – 4 oz – $28)

This is an overnight conditioner that leaves your hair shiny, softer and more manageable for up to 5 shampoos. You apply it before you go to bed and it works for you by the next morning without oils or silicone. It is pillow safe, fast absorbing and good for all hair types.

Whish – Shave Crave with Vitamin K sample size .75 oz (Full size – 5 oz -$24)

This is a shave cream that reduces the appearance of spider veins and bruises while it moisturizes, soothes and nourishes your skin.

The June 2016 Birchbox contained 5 sample size items and was all about skin and hair care. Each one was a sample of a fairly high priced premium product that I would not have purchased at full price without a trial, so this box was a win for me. By my calculations the value of the items sent came to just about $24, more than double the cost of the box. My favorite item was definitely the Benefit Cosmetics Gimme Brow Volumizing Fiber Gel!
