August 2016 Monthly Mystery Box of Awesome – HUGE BOX!!

The August 2016 Monthly Mystery Box of Awesome was a HUGE box filled with quite a variety of goodies. This month 41 people received 3D Virtual Reality Headsets in their box! We didn’t, but we still received a lot of diverse items! There is no product information card with this subscription box, but each item inside was pretty much self-explanatory. 

Golla – Laptop Bag, Amena 16” Light Gray ($40)

This is a beautiful and large (16.1 x 12.2 x 3.1 inches) messenger-style laptop bag with a lovely flower image on the front and lots of padding to keep your computer safe. It has a Velcro closing flap, Velcro pockets on the front under the flap, and an adjustable padded shoulder strap. Plus the main compartment has a wide opening zipper closure and there is a zip pocket on the outside for quick access to accessories. I think anyone with a laptop could put this to good use, though probably most guys would prefer one without the floral decoration. It would be wonderful for back to school as it has all kinds of pockets and places to tuck lots of stuff to bring with you to class.

Smart Home Living – Aluminum Fry Pan, Sunflower Yellow ($14.99)

Another very useful product! This is a 9.5 inch nonstick fry pan that came with a matching white and yellow sunflower flipper. So this month everyone who got one of these sub boxes can toss out that old fry pan with the scratched up nonstick coating and start over with a new one!

Knock Knock – It’s A Box ($9.99)

This is a sturdy corrugated cardboard storage box that measures L 11 ¾” X W 9 ¼” X H 4 ¾” and comes with a lid. You put it together. Then you put your stuff in it. They call it “Square Footage for Your Stuff” and it is adorned with the words Miscellany I Really Can’t Face Organizing. Very useful, but really? $9.99??

Great American Opportunities – Microwave Pizza Plate ($5.51)

A multiuse 9.75 inch diameter round plastic tray that can be used to cook pizzas or meats. You cook on the ribbed side and there is a reservoir to catch grease. It is raised to allow for good air circulation to promote even cooking. Plus it is dishwasher safe!

Ontel Products Corporation – Slushy Magic Max ($7.98)

The Slushy Magic Max makes slushies in seconds! Kit includes Slushy Magic shaker cup, slushy magic dome lid, spoonstraw, 3 reuseable magic freezer cubes, and a fun drink guide. My kids would have loved this when they were actually kids! I’ll have to save it for Little G.

Slant Collections – On Island Time Wine Glass w/ Lid & Straw ($13.95)

This is a 13oz double wall acrylic wine glass with lid & straw. It says “On Island Time.” The double wall keeps drinks cold without the sweat. Thirteen ounces of wine! It would be “On Bed Time” for me!

The price of the products curated for the August 2016 Monthly Mystery Box of Awesome added up to roughly $92. There are always a few things you could really use, a few things that you didn’t know you needed – because you didn’t know they existed – but found out that you actually could use, and a few things to pass on to others. And then there is the anticipation to see if your box contained one of the high dollar surprise additions this month!! Add this all together with the low cost of the monthly subscription box and you have a really great deal to look forward to every month!! Next month at least one person will receive a Segway miniPRO Smart Self Balancing Personal transporter with Mobile App Control in their mystery box!! My husband is holding his breath!!
